The floor was broken with a jack hammer.   

The cement was reinforced with chicken wire, which made it hard to break up.

 

 

The floor was anywhere from 2 inches to 5 inches thick.

 

The thickness of cement is due to the floor sagging to the center of the building.

 

 

There were two layers of cement on the front porch.  The original porch was wood.

 

On the west end of the porch there were some boards with the original reddish paint.
