Thomas Cross was one of Bangor's early settlers.  He came to this community in 1861 and settled property 2 1/2 miles west of town on what is now known as the Bangor-Covert Road.  Mr. Cross was a horse farmer and his farm was known as Evergreen Stock Farm.  He dealt mainly with Percherons and in 1887 made a trip to France where he purchased several of these horses and brought them back to Bangor.  Thomas Cross died in 1913.  He had five children, they were; Carrie L., wife of Dr. N.A. Williams of Bangor, Gertrude M., wife of the Hon. K.G. Foster of Armour, SD, Dr. Irving Cross of Bangor, Elnora wife of I.M. Wilcox of Lansing, and Ada of Bangor.  We want to hear from the descendants of any of these people.
