The Bangor Historical Society's 2009 calendar is now on sale at Swanstra's Drug Store and the Bangor Antique Mall. It measures 11 X 17 inches and features photos of gas stations and car dealerships in Bangor in the early 1900's. The calendar costs $5. You can order one by mailing a request to the address below and state how many you would like and where to send it. Add $3 for shipping and handling. This is a copy of an 1880 lithograph of Bangor. An original hangs in our display at the West Michigan Savings Bank. It is also on the Home Page. It measures 11X21. A copy is included with the purchase of our book, Bangor - Our History in Photographs. You can get an exact unfolded copy of the original for framing. They are $5, plus $3 for shipping and handling. If you live locally, you can email us at bob@bangormihistory.com and make arraignments to pick one up or have it delivered. This will save you the shipping and handling cost. |

The "Book" is now on sale at the Bangor Antique Mall. It contains 193 pages with almost 400 unique photos from the late 1800's to the 1950's. Hard covers are $47. However, there are only 200 limited editions left, available on a first come first serve basis to those who have sent a payment. Soft covers are $38 and are in good supply. There is a $3 mailing fee only if the book is to be mailed. Send a check or money order made out to the "Bangor Historical Society" for the desired book(s) to the address below along with the mailing fee if it is to be mailed. Money from sales of the calendar and lithograph goes into the general fund of the Historical Society to help sponsor interesting programs for membership meetings and support projects that help preserve the history of Bangor. Proceeds from the sale of Bangor - Our History in Photographs goes into the building fund to help finance a future museum. |
